From Air

Hi guys.

There is something different with this blog post. I m writing this blog from Air.

Flying in the IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Delhi for official work. Was getting bore so planned to use the laptop. Currently just went past Udaipur. It is 6.55 in my watch and the sight of horizon outside the window is fascinating. It is like a large rainbow spread all across the skies. First the dark blue on top, then sky blue, then orange, yellow and dark gray finally. These colour strips on the horizon are thrilling to see from this much top. I fear I cant describe it properly - one needs to see it to realise how great the beauty is.

And so is the case of sea of Mumbai which just went pass before 30 minutes. The city of Mumbai, it's beaches and harbours, huge ships over the sea, everything was just amazing from several thousand feets above them.

Now as I am writing this, it is 7.30. The flight has arrived in Delhi sky. And the night scenes of the city from window are undescribable. Beneath me is the city of Hastinapur. The capital of India, the Delhi. The plane is flying low and from here, the lights of city amid the darkness of night makes me feel like I am in space with millions of stars clustered together.

Will have to stop typing now as the plane is preparing for ground and need to switch off the gadgets.

Will be in Delhi for next 10 days. Let's see if the whole trip comes like this experience.

Parth.

My views on inter-views.

Friends, I’ve been giving a lot many interviews lately. And all those have given me different experiences along with some common patterns. I thought of sharing some of them here with you.

“Boy” turns “Man”:

Now here was my first interview. It was on 18th of December, 2010 if I am not mistaking the date. It was for the profile of a trainee in F&A department of some 150 Cr turnover company of my town. This being a first interview, I was nervous like hell. And to make it worse, I came to know about the interview only an hour before.

When you are appearing for first time, even questions like whether to wear a tie or not gives hack of a confusion to your mind. After asking two of the people from my family, I decided not to wear a tie as someone suggested that "only salesmen wear tie"!! Lol. Then there was a question of shirt. The opinion of people made me change three different shirts. Finally wore some formals and went for the interview.

For interview, I was to meet the CFO of the company. But as Mr. CFO was busy with some internal staff meetings, I had to wait for over an hour outside his cabin. Finally, was called inside by him.

The interview was good but the funniest thing came after that. After taking the interview, he took me to the person who would be my immediate superior in case I would be joining. He introduced me to him saying, “He is the man.”

Thwak! The last word hit bells in my mind. Yeah, I was a man now! Not some student boy looking for a summer internship. Though Mr. CFO used that word casually, but I was never addressed that way before. May be I was expecting him to say “he is the boy I talked you about”. From that point of time, I realized that I’ll be a professional soon (I was awaiting my CA results) and so I am no longer some junior-level wanna-be.

Though I didn’t took up that job as after a month I qualified as a CA and got many other opportunities, I would be really thankful to that Mr. CFO, my first interviewer, who made me realize that I am not a boy anymore.

To God,

Dear God,

Today is 14th of February. The world celebrates this day as Valentines’ Day. There are many legends in connection to why this day is celebrated as such, but truth is only known to you I think.

Anyways, I just wanted to ask you, will you be my valentine today?

You see we both co-exist since the inception of all. All this time, you have taken so much care of me. You have unmistakably cared of my food and shelter in each of my visits to this earth. You’ve saved my life thousands of times from all the perils I can’t even think of.

In all those 8.4 million births of mine, it was only you, no one else, who was with me. My present friends and family are just 24 years old.

And afterwards, also in near future of 100 years, it will be only you who will be with me.

People choose those as their valentine whom they love and care for. Where can I find a person like you who is caring for me in zillions of direct-indirect ways since, mmmmm.. ever…!!!

So will you be my valentine today?

Yours,
Parth

The Uttarayan and Technology of God

Friends, Happy Makar Sankranti!

The Akshar once compared the "bhakta" (devotee) with a kite. Gunatit Swami said,
"... Just as a kite is always attached to the person flying it through thread even if it is hundreds of meters away, the same way a devotee is attached to God through His "agaya" (orders) thread... "

We understand the technology of staying in touch with our dear ones. We understand technology of phones, emails and social networking.

But what about the technology of God? How can you stay in touch with Him 24x7??

His technology is different. If you abide by His laws, you are always with Him. It is the connection wire with you and God. Like if a kite is lying near you but unless not connected with a thread, it is not under your control. But the same kite, if connected with a thread, is flown several hundred meters away, will always be yours.

This is the divine technology of God and the God-communion Sadhu.. :)

On this auspicious day of Makar Sankrant, let all of us pray that we always stay connected with God and Swami with this thread of agya and let no one in this world cut this thread!

Remember,
Orders of God = Our connecting thread to him
For a kite, thread is not the limitation to reach high in sky. It's a license to fly high. If it cuts, kite will be down only. Same way, our niyams (rules) given by God are not our bandhan (limitation), but for our good.
